In April WWE released quite a few names due to coronavirus related budget cuts, and now everyone is waiting to see where the released stars will go next.
It was recently announced that former NXT star Deonna Purrazzo will be joining the company, and it looks like she may not be the only name who’s Impact bound.
This week’s episode of Impact Wrestling featured a video hyping up the Slammiversary PPV in July, and several former WWE stars were teased.
The video featured a hooded person watching a news broadcast about 20 superstars getting released, and the video then showed brief clips of Eric Young, Luke Gallows, Karl Anderson, Drake Maverick, Curt Hawkins, Maria Kanellis, Mike Bennett and EC3.
It’s also worth noting that there was a quick clip of a Bulgarian flag, which could be a tease for Rusev.
It’s believed that the main roster stars who were released in April will be free to go wherever they want on July 15th.
Impact Wrestling Slammiversary airs on Sunday, July 18th.
