It’s a fact that not everyone involved in the wrestling business gets along with one another and for years people were talking about the backstage drama between Matt Riddle and Bill Goldberg. Riddle had openly criticized Goldberg which led to a tense exchange backstage at WWE SummerSlam in 2019.

During a recent interview with Rewind Recap Relive, Riddle was asked about his relationship with Goldberg and he admitted that it’s better than it was, but still isn’t great. However, the former Raw Tag Team Champion did indicate that he’s open to potentially facing off against Goldberg in the ring.

“Willie G, Bill Goldberg. I don’t know, I don’t think it’s great. It didn’t start off well. I’m not a huge fan of his wrestling style, and how do we stand now? I would say we can probably be in the same room together without starting to fight. We’ve talked, we’ve had some drinks. I think he gets me a little bit better, I get him. I know where he’s coming from and why he thinks the way he does and things, I get it. I just have my philosophy and he has his, and I think we’ve come to an agreeance to that,”

“But if I ever get a chance to get him in the ring? Willy G, I’m your guy. I’m your guy, dude.”

Goldberg recently stated that he’s still interested in potentially wrestling in a retirement match, but he also noted that he has to get some injuries taken care of before that can happen.
