Triple H is now in charge of WWE creative, and he’s been making some big changes when it comes to the main roster. So far The Game has brought back Dakota Kai, Karrion Kross, Dexter Lumis, Hit Row and the expectation is that more released stars will be returning.
Hit Row got called up to the WWE main roster in October of 2021, but their run didn’t last very long as all four members of the group were released a month later in November.
Swerve Strickland has since moved on to AEW where he is one half of the AEW World Tag Team Champions, but last week on SmackDown fans saw Top Dolla, Ashante Thee Adonis and B-Fab return to WWE programming. Top Dolla recently talked about Hit Row’s big return on Busted Open where he said that Triple H told him he has a clean slate.
“In the conversations I had with Triple H, he was like, ‘Man, I don’t know what happened before, and to be honest with you, I don’t care. It’s a new place. I want you to understand that you have a clean slate, there’s no hard feelings on this side, and I hope that you come with no hard feelings on your side.’ To me, it was just like a breath of fresh air because it was like I was down, man. When we got released, I was like, Hit Row was hotter than anything in wrestling, period. I don’t care who you are.”
Top Dolla also said that after Hit Row got released he stopped watching wrestling for the first time in his life, and went eight months without watching any wrestling.
