WWE has released quite a few names this year, and you never know when a familiar face might pop up on AEW programming. Over the weekend fans saw former Cruiserweight Champion Tony Nese make an appearance on Dynamite, and Nese also made his in-ring debut with All Elite Wrestling at the AEW Dark tapings at Universal Studios.
It was reported on Wrestling Observer Radio that Tony Nese has signed a deal with All Elite Wrestling. Recently AEW has been referring to Nese as one of the hottest free against in pro wrestling, but it’s not clear at this point in time what type of deal he signed with the company.
As of this writing AEW has not confirmed the signing, and the signing is not expected to be announced until the matches that Tony Nese taped at Universal Studios over the weekend air.
