This week WWE released a number of Superstars including Hit Row member Top Dolla. Hit Row returned to WWE programming last year and Michael Cole would often single out Top Dolla then talk trash about him on Friday Night SmackDown.
Michael Cole’s comments got a lot of attention on social media and it sounds like Top Dolla was open to the idea of going one on one with Cole in the ring.
One fan on social media noted that they thought WWE dropped the ball by not having Michael Cole work a program with Top Dolla, and that’s when Top Dolla revealed that not only did he want to face Cole, he actually offered to put Cole over.
“I offered to put Cole over & he wanted to do it too… we talked about it at length of how could build it… even had him winning by a small package out of a stalling suplex… they didn’t care beyond having him drag me every week… which made ppl talk about me so I loved it.”
Unfortunately we’ll never get to see a Michael Cole vs. Top Dolla match, but it’s interesting to think about what might have been.
