Over the last few months WWE has released a number of wrestlers and Tegan Nox happened to be one of the names who got cut back in November of 2024. Tegan Nox is now a free agent and she’s revealed that moving forward she’ll be using the name Nixon Newell.
Prior to her WWE release Nixon Newell had not wrestled in months and she recently explained during an interview with Metro that she was dealing with an injury that kept her sidelined.
“I did get incredibly sick for a little while. We didn’t really get a legit answer. I went through tests, I was in hospital, a bunch of different stuff.”
“I think it was down to a lot of stress mixed with other things. But I was really sick, which contributed to my time off. I think that started it all, even though I said, ‘I’m good to go, it’s just I get sick now and again.’ But it wasn’t, like, deathly or anything.”
While talking about her future Nixon Newell noted that she’s giving herself two more years in the professional wrestling business, and depending on how things go she could hang up the boots by mid-2027.
“I’m giving myself two years to either find the love, find myself, or just call it a day. Mid-2027, just before my 33rd birthday.”
Stay tuned for more updates on Nixon Newell’s future as they become available.
