The world of professional wrestling can be unpredictable at times, and you never know when a talent could decide to hang up the boots forever. It seems as if that’s exactly what former WWE star Fandango plans to do as he recently posted the following announcement on Twitter:
“I’ll be stepping away from the ring in a couple of months. Goodbye forever.”
The post has since been deleted, and it also seems that Fandango has deleted his Twitter account as the @DirtyDangoCurty profile now shows a message saying, “This account doesn’t exist.”
Fandango signed a developmental deal with WWE in 2006 and he went on to work under the name Johnny Curtis before debuting as Fandango in 2012. He was released from WWE in June of 2021, but has since been working with NWA and on the independent circuit as Dirty Dango.
It’s not clear at this point in time when, or where Fandango’s final match might take place, or who he might be facing. Stay tuned for more updates on his retirement as they become available.
