At NXT Takeover: Brooklyn III, Bobby Roode lost the NXT Championship to Drew McIntyre in the main event. It was the changing of the guard. Two days later, “The Glorious One” made his debut on SmackDown Live. However, fans were surprised to see him become a babyface.

Since his debut, Roode has been featured in some singles matches and dark matches. At this point, he doesn’t have a feud on WWE television yet. There have been some rumors about a rivalry with Kevin Owens happening down the line, but something else is coming before that.
It’s being reported by CageSideSeats that Bobby Roode is being kept off SmackDown Live to build to the surprise of him interrupting one of Dolph Ziggler’s “entrance segments” that have been airing for weeks. Roode vs. Ziggler is expected to happen at Hell in a Cell next month.
It seems that WWE officials are keeping the build slow for Roode’s push on SmackDown Live going forward. The WWE Universe expects something huge from a star of his experience and caliber out of the gate, but it seems that the fans will need to be patient for the time being.
