Jon Bravos’ big documentary might have let some people down, but what disappointed people need to realize that he released all the information he could.
Bravo had some evidence linking Roman Reigns to accused and convicted steroid dealer Richard Rodriguez but was lacking the text messages which would stand as the final piece of evidence Bravo needed to make a definitive statement. Reigns apparently not only used an alias, but he also had his packages shipped to addresses not linked with him.
“The Roman Reigns video, the original release could not be released because in the original video I did have I did have the orders there,” Jon Bravo told Still Real After Party. “I decided after my lawyers looked at it that we couldn’t put it out there until we get the communications information from Richard. Whether or not I would have been liable for it or not doesn’t mean 100% I would have been caused of the way the video was done but I didn’t think it was worth taking that risk.”
Although it might be a bit of a letdown being told we have to wait until the DEA releases more information to Bravo, it is a necessity to tell this story responsibly. After all, we’re talking about a very serious subject matter. “I’m not going to put Roman Reigns’ name out there and say, ‘this guy did this’ without really knowing 100% that he did.”
Bravo went on to say, “I hyped the Roman thing because I thought I could release the information that I had. But then when I found out I couldn’t I said, ‘you know what? The best decision for me is to delay it or put out a video without information and be honest with everyone.”
Bravo said once he receives the devices from the DEA he will 100% finish up this passion project. “I’ve been doing this for a year and it ended up where it is now today where I never thought it would be. I’m not going to leave the project unended, it’s an ongoing case, there’s a ton of stuff and it’s not all about Roman Reigns. They’ve made this all about Roman Reigns but I mean I’ve talked and had private discussions with Richard and there’s government officials in these orders, there’s other big names in these orders but everyone turned this story now into this whole Roman Reigns thing and it wasn’t even a whole WWE thing. But the WWE fanbase is so huge, so passionate that they took this story and made it what it is now.”
“[Richard Rodriguez] tells me that there is communication between him and them on the devices I do not have,” Jon Bravo said confirming what Richard Rodriguez said to him regarding alleged steroid purchases by Reigns and Wahlberg.
“The hard part for me, it’s hard for me to control things that are not in your control and it’s hard to say things are 100% when they’re not in your control. Until I have [the devices] and I can only say what I have in my hands. Until I have them, I don’t say it.”
Although Bravo’s documentary might have actually caused WWE to slow their role on cementing WrestleMania plans, he went on to say that WWE never contacted him concerning the information he had in his possession. “Nobody from WWE has contacted me, I haven’t heard a thing from anyone. Agencies, media relations stuff like that has contacted me but not WWE themselves.”
But it should also be noted all of this information was coming from Richard Rodriguez. He name-dropped a lot of important people in WWE and could very well hold the names of some important people from many other areas of society. He is currently on trial for these crimes, therefore if he told a lie it would go on to negatively affect him in a big way at this point. Therefore, Rodriguez still has a lot left to lose.
Only time will tell when Jon Bravo drops his next video on this subject. But you can probably be sure of two things, the video is bound to look amazing and it will only contain information that Jon Bravo is 100% certain about because we’re talking about a situation where a lot of people have plenty to lose.
