WrestleMania season is quickly approaching and everyone is wondering if The Rock will be part of the Show of Shows in 2025. Recently Dr. Chris Featherstone reported that WWE creative is moving forward under the impression that The Rock won’t be working WrestleMania next year, and Sean Ross Sapp of Fightful also noted that the report is true.
Fightful Select is reporting that numerous people confirmed WWE is putting creative plans in motion with the idea being that The Rock isn’t expected to be part of the WrestleMania. However, this is being done with the notion that when it comes to The Rock anything can happen, and plans can change.
According to the report The Rock’s appearance at WWE Bad Blood back in October was done simply to get him on screen. There was no major direction of plot point being furthered by the appearance. Ahead of the show WWE knew The Rock appearing was a possibility, but his appearance wasn’t confirmed until that week. It’s being said that The Rock was around all day and pulled up in his pickup truck ahead of the show.
Cody Rhodes and The Rock recently filmed something at the Moana premiere which may or may not be used later. Details regarding what they filmed are unknown.
