You never know who’s going to show up when you watch a professional wrestling pay-per-view and Ronda Rousey made a surprise appearance at AEW Revolution on Sunday.
Following Toni Storm’s match with Marina Shafir, Ronda Rousey got in the ring as Toni Storm was celebrating at the top of the ramp, and she called Storm out. The two stars were then separated by security and Ronda left through the crowd with Shafir.
The Wrestling Observer Newsletter is reporting that one person close to the situation said that this fits into Ronda Rousey’s vendetta against TKO. The company reportedly negotiated with her for over a year regarding the fight with Gina Carano, but the compensation was essentially changed when the fight didn’t go to PPV, and they figured they had nowhere else to go.
It was also noted that people in TKO likely aren’t happy about Ronda Rousey running down UFC. Those in WWE were not happy about this turn of events, but it’s being said that it’s more of an annoyance as opposed to a game changer.
Despite Ronda’s confrontation with Toni Storm there’s been no indication that we’ll be seeing a Ronda Rousey vs. Toni Storm match in All Elite Wrestling. Storm was written off TV during this week’s episode of Dynamite and you can get more on her status here.
