Over the last few years a number of names have taken their career to the next level and Gunther has been one of the stars to watch. Last year at SummerSlam, Gunther defeated Damian Priest to become the new WWE World Heavyweight Champion, and he carried that title into WrestleMania earlier this month.
Unfortunately for Gunther, Jey Uso picked up a win over The Ring General on the Gradest Stage of Them All to win the WWE World Heavyweight Championship for the first time in his career.
This week Gunther appeared on Monday Night Raw, and he was clearly frustrated after losing the title. The former champion ended up choking out Pat McAfee, and Raw General Manager Adam Pearce later announced that Gunther has been suspended indefinitely.
Cory Hays of PWN is reporting that Gunther was suspended indefinitely simply because he requested some time off.
Gunther requested some time off which is why he has been suspended “indefinitely”

At this point in time it’s not clear when Gunther will be returning to WWE programming, but it will be interesting to see who he feuds with when he makes his way back.
Stay tuned for updates.
