Last week’s episode of Monday Night Raw took place on the Fourth of July and it was expected to be one of the lowest rated shows ever. Last week 2.658 million viewers tuned in to watch Raw, but the numbers bounced back for this week’s episode.
According to ShowBuzzDaily.com Monday Night Raw drew 3.170 million viewers this week. The show featured an advertised appearance from Vince McMahon and it also featured an advertised battle royal to determine a new number 1 contender for the Intercontinental Championship.
This week the first hour of Raw drew 3.042 million viewers followed by the second hour which drew 3.239 million viewers. The third and final hours drew 3.231 million viewers.
The wrestling world has been buzzing about WWE’s Cruiserweight Classic and WWE has no doubt picked some of the best wrestlers from around the globe to compete in the tournament.
Unfortunately not everyone who wanted to be a part of it made the cut, but WWE revealed earlier today that Jesse Sorensen, Aaron Solow, Jesus Yurnet, Vandal Ortagun and Kai Katana are all alternates for the tournament. If a competitor is injured or can’t compete for some reason these wrestlers may be called upon to join the CWC.
