The New Day invaded Monday Night Raw last night and in doing to they cost Seth Rollins and Dean Ambrose their Raw Tag Team Championships, since they provided the distraction that Cesaro and Sheamus needed to dethrone the current champions.
This means that The Bar will now go on to face SmackDown Tag Team Champions The Usos in their bragging rights match at Survivor Series next weekend, leaving Dean Ambrose and Seth Rollins without a match at the event.
Rollins and Ambrose are two of the biggest stars on WWE’s current roster, so it is highly unlikely that WWE will keep them off that card for one of their biggest events of the year. With just under two weeks to go until the event, it would make sense for The Shield to now step into a feud with The New Day and set up their first ever tag team match against each other at Survivor Series.
Roman Reigns is scheduled to return to Raw next week and since all five places on the Survivor Series team are now filled, Reigns could be returning to continue The Shield reunion.
Reigns’ illness last month prevented The Shield from having the epic match that was scheduled to be their first match as a unit in more than three years at Survivor Series. At least if the popular trio go on to face The New Day next weekend, then they will still be able to deliver on the reunion that was put on hold for TLC and WWE will be able to present another match that the WWE Universe has never seen before.
