For months Dean Ambrose and Seth Rollins were the top team in the Raw tag team division after they defeated Cesaro and Sheamus to win the Raw Tag Team Titles at SummerSlam back in August.
But The Shield brothers dropped their titles to Sheamus and Cesaro a few weeks ago on Raw, and this week they fought to get them back.
Rollins and Ambrose battled The Bar in the main event, and in the end it was Cesaro and Sheamus who walked out with the Tag Team Titles.
At first the match ended when Cesaro went for the Neutralizer, but Rollins reversed it and hit his finisher. Sheamus then broke up the pin and started beating on Seth Rollins, but since Sheamus wasn’t the legal man, the referee called for the bell, and the match ended in disqualification.
Kurt Angle then announced the match would be restarted and there would be no disqualifications.
Ambrose and Rollins quickly got down to business and started beating up Cesaro and Sheamus outside of the ring.
Samoa Joe interfered and attacked Rollins and Ambrose, but Roman Reigns chased him off, then Reigns hit Cesaro with a Superman Punch, and got out of the ring. While Roman was on the outside, Sheamus hit Ambrose with a Brogue Kick then placed Cesaro on Ambrose to win the match and retain the titles.
On this week’s episode of Raw, Elias appeared in a backstage segment and he told General Manager Kurt Angle that since there’s no more competition for him on the roster, he would have to hit the ring for a live performance this week.
Elias later brought his guitar to the ring, and he started singing a song, but he was interrupted by the one and only Braun Strowman.
Strowman went after Elias, and Elias hit him with a guitar, but the guitar didn’t do much to Strowman.
Kane later appeared on the big screen and announced that he and Braun Strowman will face off in a one on one match next week on Raw.
