It’s no big secret that a number of WWE contracts were set to expire this year, but the company has been making an effort to sign their talent to new deals. Now it seems that yet another former champion will be with the company for years to come.
Sean Ross Sapp of Fightful Select is reporting that Shayna Baszler has signed a new deal with WWE. According to the report the former NXT Women’s Champion’s deal was set to expire this year. Details on the exact length of the contract are unknown at this time, but it has been confirmed that Baszler signed a multi-year deal.
In regards to how she is viewed backstage one longtime WWE staffer reported said that Shayna Baszler is “void of any ego” and always easy to work with. A WWE higher up noted that Baszler has long been helpful when it comes to the newer talent.
Shayna Baszler first stared working with WWE in 2017 and she went on to make her main roster debut in 2020. Throughout her run with WWE she’s managed to capture the NXT Women’s Championship once and the WWE Women’s Tag Team Championship three times.
