Orton and Mahal have been going back and forth on SmackDown Live over the past few weeks, but it looks like Jinder may have to carry the feud all by himself for a little while. It’s being reported by the Wrestling Observer Newsletter that Randy Orton will be taking time off this month to film the movie “Changeland” with Seth Green. Orton is expected to return on the July 18th episode of SmackDown Live which will be the go-home show for Battleground.
Sunday night Brock Lesnar will defend his WWE Universal Championship against Samoa Joe at the first ever Great Balls of Fire pay-per-view. Fans have been waiting to see Brock and Joe collide for quite some time, and WWE has done a great job at building hype leading up to Great Balls of Fire.
Samoa Joe recently spoke to ESPN about his main roster success and working with Brock Lesnar, and Joe says that when it comes to opportunities it’s all about timing.
“Some people want to be called up as quickly as possible, but I’ve been around the industry long enough to know that timing is one of the most key and important things. Brock was at the top of my list of guys that I wanted to work with. There are certain special guys in this industry and Brock is one of those special guys, and to be able to go out there and work with guys like that, that’s where legacies are built.”
