WWE stars spend a lot of time on the road and no one knows that better than Randy Orton. The Viper has been one of the top stars in the company for decades and years of performing in the ring have certainly taken a toll on his body.

Last year Randy Orton was able to return after sitting on the sidelines for 18 months. It’s no big secret that Orton has had issues with his back and during his time away from WWE he underwent back fusion surgery.

It seems that Randy Orton had tried to address the situation with his back well ahead of time as he Sportskeeda’s WrestleBinge that he spoke to Vince McMahon almost a decade ago about getting a reduced schedule.

“I came to him when I was 35 and my back really started going and I pleaded with him, like, ‘Man, I gotta not do as many shows. Maybe do half the tour and be able to recover.’ And he just looked at me and was like, ‘I need you on those shows, Randy. Mother Nature gets us all.'”

“To hear that, and go, ‘Okay, well, I guess there’s no other thing I can do other than just wear myself out down to the nub until I can’t walk anymore for this man.'”
