Randy Orton has been one of WWE’s top stars for decades now, but in recent years his future with the company came into question. The Viper was sidelined for 18 months due to a back injury and he has stated that doctors advised him not to wrestle again. Luckily Randy Orton has since been able to return to the ring.
Even though Orton is still competing at a high level in WWE it sounds like he did consider his options if he were forced to retire. While talking to Sportskeeda, Randy Orton was asked what he would have done if he had to retire from in-ring competition, and he indicated that he would have still been involved with the company.
“I would have been involved in some way, shape, or form with the WWE. I think, gosh, I might be wrong, but I might be the only guy that’s only ever wrestled for one company his entire career. I could be wrong. So I don’t see any reason why I gotta leave.”
“I see being a part of the WWE family from here on out. And if I wouldn’t have been able to go back to wrestling, I would have been a coach, trained, done something. Maybe an on-the-road producer.”
Last month Randy Orton was asked how much longer he might continue wrestling and he said that he would like to keep going until he’s 50 because that would give him 30 years with the same company.
