Randy Orton didn’t compete in his scheduled match with Bray Wyatt at Backlash on Sunday.
WWE wrote Orton out of the match by having Bray Wyatt attack him backstage at Backlash, but he did return to the ring Monday night at the WWE live event in Fairfax, VA, sort of.
Orton teamed up with John Cena to take on Bray Wyatt and Erick Rowan. Randy Orton didn’t take any bumps in the match, but he did hit Bray Wyatt with the RKO. Cena and Orton also got the victory over Wyatt and Rowan.

AJ Styles also defended his WWE World Championship against Dean Ambrose at the event. Styles retained by hitting Ambrose with a low blow followed by the Styles Clash.
