Randy Orton vs. Bray Wyatt was being advertised for WWE Backlash, but it was reported prior to the pay-per-view on Sunday by PWInsider that the match would not take place. According to the report, multiple sources are claiming that Orton has not been cleared for in-ring action after the TKO finish at SummerSlam.
WWE wrote Orton out of the match by showing a pre-taped segment where Bray Wyatt smashed Randy Orton’s ankle in a door. Wyatt then made his way to the ring and demanded that the referee count to ten and declare him the winner.
As Bray Wyatt was leaving the ring it was announced that he would wrestle in a No Holds Barred match and his opponent would be Kane.
The two brawled inside and outside of the ring and at one point Bray put Kane through the announce table.
Randy Orton limped his way out to the ring with his ankle all bandaged up. He then hit Bray Wyatt with the RKO and then Kane followed up with a Chokeslam for the win.
