WrestleMania 33 is in the books and it was a seven-hour event full of grandeur, surprises, and unforgettable moments. Randy Orton faced Bray Wyatt in one of the many main events to capture the WWE World Championship but The Viper feels he was jipped out of a WrestleMania moment.
Randy Orton took part in a Q&A at Wizard World in St Louis recently and he said he felt that he was “screwed out of the entrances” at WrestleMania 33. According to Bleeding Cool, Randy Orton had a few things to say about his lack of an entrance at WrestleMania 33.
Randy said the huge viper he seemed to ride on while he walked to the ring, “looked like a giant sperm.” He said he wanted an entrance along the lines of the kind Triple H got, but it didn’t happen for Randy Orton at WrestleMania 33.
It would make sense Randy Orton and Bray Wyatt for that matter would get special entrances. After all, they were competing in a championship match. But alas, Triple H got a police escort and rode a tricked-out three-wheeler to the ring with Stephanie riding in back. Meanwhile, Randy Orton got a custom entrance ramp graphic that looked like a… well, it was supposed to be a viper.
Paul Heyman is a fixture in professional wrestling and an innovator in the art of speech. He’s coined so many phrases in wrestling that are now looked at as commonplace. He continues to influence to this day as his verbal exploits even stretch far beyond the wrestling world.
Paul Heyman’s motto for Brock Lesnar, “Eat, sleep, conquer, repeat” has now reached a pop culture standing as an iconic phrase. You can literally insert any word as the third item in the sequence to mean that a person lives for whatever you want them to.
Let us demonstrate: “Eat, sleep, write wrestling news, repeat”… it’s that easy.
Well, we’re not the only ones who have figured this out. When Heyman’s attention was brought to the fact that a well-known lighter company was using a variation of his phrase, Heyman didn’t sound too happy about it. He didn’t seem too happy about his lack of royalties either.
