Chris Jericho’s future has been a very hot topic over the last few months as it’s no big secret that his AEW deal is expiring soon, and a WWE return has been heavily rumored.

Alex McCarthy is reporting that Chris Jericho’s deal with All Elite Wrestling is set to expire at midnight on December 31st. Jericho is expect to sign with WWE following his AEW departure and he’s expected to commit to the company right after his deal expires.

WWE is reportedly considering using Chris Jericho on the January 5th episode of Monday Night Raw if the two sides are able to get a deal done without any problems. Another option is to hold off Jericho’s return until the 2026 Royal Rumble premium live event on January 31st.

The Takedown on SI is also reporting that multiple higher ups in All Elite Wrestling are under the impression that Chris Jericho is done with the company and will be returning to WWE.

Chris Jericho last appeared on AEW programming back in April when he dropped the ROH World Championship to Bandido at the Dynasty pay-per-view. It’s also worth noting that Fightful Select reported ahead of the Worlds End pay-per-view this weekend that Jericho’s name hasn’t come up when discussing ongoing creative plans in AEW.
