Over the last few months a number of wrestlers have been called up to the WWE main roster including Trick Williams, Oba Femi and Jordynne Grace. Trick Williams has clearly established himself as one of the stars to watch, and it sounds like the former NXT Champion could compete in his first WrestleMania match this year.
Bodyslam is reporting that the idea of Trick Williams vs. Sami Zayn has been discussed for the WrestleMania 42 card. Trick Williams and Sami Zayn have interacted with each other a number of times since Trick joined the main roster, but beyond one singles match that took place at a live event, they have only been in the ring with each other once on television.
Williams has been receiving quite the reaction from live crowds ever since he was called up to the main roster. It was recently reported that there’s a push for Trick Williams to be presented as a babyface, but only time till tell if WWE decides to go in that direction.
WrestleMania 42 will air live from Allegiant Stadium on Saturday, April 18 and Sunday, April 19, 2026 and the current card can be seen below.
