The WWE Royal Rumble pay-per-view is quickly approaching, and so far only two title matches have been announced for the event.
Becky Lynch is set to defend her Raw Women’s Championship against Asuka at the pay-per-view, and Bray Wyatt is set to defend the Universal Championship against Daniel Bryan.
It’s expected that more matches will be added to the card, and the Wrestling Observer Newsletter notes that Bayley vs. Lacey Evans for the SmackDown Women’s Championship and Shinsuke Nakamura vs. Braun Strowman for the Intercontinental Championship are both being built up.
Both matches were originally scheduled for the TLC pay-per-view, but the decision was made to move the SmackDown Women’s Championship match to the Royal Rumble, although the match hasn’t been announced yet.
The IC Title match didn’t happen at TLC due to Strowman’s injuries.
Stay tuned for more updates on the Royal Rumble card.
