The annual WWE Royal Rumble pay-per-view is without a doubt one of the most anticipated events on the schedule, as it sets up the Road to WrestleMania.
According to the Wrestling Observer Newsletter, Asuka vs. Becky Lynch for the Raw Women’s Title is confirmed for the Royal Rumble PPV. The match will mark the one year anniversary of Asuka beating Becky Lynch clean with the Asuka Lock.
Other possible matches for the show include Lacey Evans vs. Bayley for the SmackDown Women’s Title, and Braun Strowman vs. Shinsuke Nakamura for the Intercontinental Title.
Neither match is confirmed, but original plans called for Bayley to defend the SmackDown Women’s Title against Lacey Evans at TLC before the match was moved to the Royal Rumble PPV.
