The Royal Rumble is taking place next month which means there will be plenty of talk about surprise entrants in the weeks to come. The US Sun recently reported that there was talk of Tyson Fury being involved with the Royal Rumble and WrestleMania, but his involvement with the events seems unlike because he’s banned from the United States due to his connection to Irish mob boss Daniel Kinahan.
The Wrestling Observer Newsletter reports that one source noted they couldn’t say the story isn’t true, but also noted that it’s not something that gets talked about.
It was also noted that Fury was not willing to put people over or look vulnerable if he were a surprise Royal Rumble entrant. With that in mind it’s not known how it would make sense to use him in the match or for a quick Royal Rumble cameo given the amount of money it would cost to use him for the show.
The Royal Rumble will air live on Saturday, January 28 from the Alamodome in San Antonio, TX. Stay tuned for more updates as they become available.
