Business picked up for John Cena’s feud with The Club this week when Cena finally got some back up. The Club made their way to the ring on Raw to #BeatUpJohnCena and then Enzo and Big Cass made the save.
WWE later announced that John Cena will be teaming up with Enzo Amore and Big Cass to take on The Club at Battleground later this month. It was noted on Wrestling Observer Radio that WWE has plans to do another singles match with John Cena and AJ Styles at SummerSlam in August.
PWInsider is reporting that “The Viper” Randy Orton will be making his way to the WWE Performance Center next week to work out as he’s expected to be medically cleared to return to the ring soon. Orton has been out of action since last year and he is now being advertised for WWE live events in August.
WWE announced on Raw that Brock Lesnar’s SummerSlam opponent will be announced during this week’s episode of SmackDown. For what it’s worth it was also noted in PWInsider’s report that although it’s not confirmed, some people within WWE believe that Brock Lesnar’s SummerSlam opponent will be Randy Orton.
