Tonight’s episode of WWE SmackDown Live is set to take place from Worcester, MA, and so far three matches have been confirmed.
Originally Big Cass was set to face Samoa Joe in a Money in the Bank qualifying match, but WWE later announced that Cass was pulled from the match due to injury. PWInsider is reporting that Big Cass is backstage at SmackDown Live and walking with a noticeable limp, so unless he’s trying to work the other wrestlers backstage it’s possible his injury is legitimate.
Since Big Cass won’t be competing tonight, Daniel Bryan is set to face Jeff Hardy to determine who will take on Samoa Joe in a Money in the Bank qualifying match next week. It’s being reported that current plans call for Bryan and Hardy to main event the show.
It appears that Miz TV will be the opening segment this week. As noted, The New Day will appear on Miz TV and announce which member of the team will be entering the Money in the Bank ladder match.
There’s also said to be a lot of talk backstage regarding SmackDown Live moving to Friday night on Fox next year, but so far management hasn’t confirmed anything.
