Anything can happen on Monday Night Raw, and this week former NXT Champion Tommaso Ciampa returned for the first time in nine months. Ciampa faced off against The Miz in a singles match and it was Ciampa who ended up getting the win.
Tommaso Ciampa’s return has been rumored for a while now, and Johnny Gargano also seemingly teased a few weeks ago that Ciampa could be joining The Way. Gargano was not featured on Raw this week, but the WRKD Wrestling account is reporting that WWE still has plans for Ciampa & Gargano to reform DIY.
It’s also being reported that current plans call for the DIY reunion to lead to a feud with Kevin Owens & Sami Zayn over the Undisputed WWE Tag Team Titles.
While Johnny Gargano was noticeably absent from #WWERaw, fans saw the return of Ciampa.
As we’ve reported in the past, there are still plans in the works to reform #DIY.
We can now add current plans have this leading to a feud with Owens/Zayn over the tag titles. pic.twitter.com/UIxMo4iCEI

There’s currently no word on how soon DIY will be reuniting, but they will be an interesting addition to the tag team division on the main roster to say the least. Recently several teams have made it clear that they want a shot at the Undisputed WWE Tag Team Championship, so we’ll have to wait and see how DIY fits in to the title picture.
