The Elimination Chamber pay-per-view is set to air live on the WWE Network on Sunday, and while Drew McIntyre is set to defend his WWE Championship inside the chamber, Roman Reigns will not be competing inside the structure this year.
Last week on Friday Night SmackDown it was announced that six competitors from the blue brand will face off in the Elimination Chamber, and the winner will earn a shot at Roman Reigns’ Universal Championship.
Dave Meltzer noted on Wrestling Observer Radio that WWE has been pushing Cesaro as of late, and that he could be the one who ends up challenging Roman Reigns on Sunday.
It was also noted that there’s been talk of Daniel Bryan vs. Roman Reigns since Bryan returned, and that WWE could do the match without build up just to get it done.
