For most of 2024, CM Punk has been involved in a heated feud with the one and only Drew McIntyre, but they officially wrapped up their rivalry at Bad Blood earlier this month when Punk picked up a win over McIntyre.
Following his victory over Drew McIntyre at the Bad Blood premium live event CM Punk addressed his future on Monday Night Raw and simply told fans that he just doesn’t know when he’s going to wrestle again.
It appears that Punk is taking some time off and it was recently reported that he’s not expected to be at Crown Jewel in November. However, it does seem that CM Punk will likely be returning sooner rather than later as Ibou noted during the WrestlePurists Raw review that current plans call for CM Punk to challenge Gunther for the WWE World Heavyweight Championship at Survivor Series.
In the meantime Gunther will be facing off against Cody Rhodes at Crown Jewel and the winner of the match will become the first ever Crown Jewel Champion.
