Following the AEW All Out pay-per-view The Elite was involved in a physical altercation with CM and Ace Steel and they’ve been suspended due to an ongoing investigation.
However, a teaser for The Elite’s return was shown on Dynamite this week, and Bryan Alvarez noted on Wrestling Observer Radio that Kenny Omega and The Young Bucks were backstage at the show and that they hung out with everybody backstage.
Dave Meltzer noted that it’s just a matter of time before The Elite are back on TV. It’s expected that The Elite will be going after the AEW Trios Championship when they return.
The Elite became the inaugural AEW Trios Champions when they won the belts at All Out, but they had to vacate the titles shortly after due to the backstage altercation with CM Punk. Stay tuned for more updates as they become available.
