Possible Spoiler On Plans For Roman Reigns vs. Sami Zayn At Elimination Chamber

The last few months have been a wild ride for Sami Zayn and he officially ended his affiliation with The Bloodline at the Royal Rumble when he hit Roman Reigns with a steel chair. Zayn later attacked Reigns on SmackDown and demanded an Undisputed WWE Universal Championship match which is set to take place at Elimination Chamber.

The Wrestling Observer Newsletter reports that original plans for the Undisputed WWE Universal Championship match called for Sami Zayn to lose. The idea was to have Jey Uso turn on Sami to set up Sami & Kevin Owens vs. The Usos for WrestleMania 39. However, it’s not clear if that’s still the plan as it was noted that a lot has changed since then.

It’s being reported that Sami Zayn has become a major TV ratings mover. Zayn is not only moving quarters big, but the entire show as SmackDown viewership has been up with out without Roman Reigns making appearances.

WWE can script whatever they want for the title match at Elimination Chamber, but if Sami Zayn were to win the Undisputed WWE Universal Championship it would be a late deviation from the script. It’s being said that this is the first booking decision in a long time that can make a difference when it comes to full show ratings. Stay tuned for updates.
