It’s going to be an interesting weekend for the main event scene in WWE as Sheamus is set to face Drew McIntyre on SmackDown to determine who will challenge for the Undisputed WWE Universal Championship at Clash at the Castle, and Roman Reigns is set to defend his title against Brock Lesnar at SummerSlam.
The Wrestling Observer Newsletter reports that Roman Reigns vs. Drew McIntyre is expected to be the main event for Clash at the Castle. Roman Reigns and Drew McIntyre haven’t faced off on PPV this year because long term plans for this match were put in place months ago, but plans could always change.
It was also noted that Clash at the Castle has sold 60,555 tickets and the capacity at Principality Stadium is 71,810. With a month to go before the show takes place WWE is hoping the event will sell out.
Stay tuned for more updates as they become available.
