Over the last few months The Bloodline storyline has taken some shocking turns, and Jimmy Uso seemingly turned on his brother when he prevented him from beating Roman Reigns at SummerSlam.
On the following episode of SmackDown, Jimmy Uso explained that he was afraid of his brother winning and becoming corrupt like Roman Reigns, so that’s why he interfered in the match. Jey Uso responded by superkicking his brother, then he announced he was done with WWE before leaving through the crowd.
The next logical move would be for WWE to book a Jey Uso vs. Jimmy Uso match, but it sounds like it could be a while before it happens. The Wrestling Observer Newsletter is reporting that Roman Reigns will not be on the upcoming Payback premium live event, and WWE is planning to hold Jimmy vs. Jey for a bigger show.
“Reigns will not be on that show and we do know that Jimmy vs. Jey Uso is being held off for more build time and likely a bigger show.”
It’s not clear how long WWE will hold the match off for as it was recently reported that there was a push in creative to save it for WrestleMania 40, but it seems unlikely that WWE will be able to keep the story hot for that long. Stay tuned for updates.
