You never know when a former WWE star could join AEW as fans have seen a number of familiar faces make their way to All Elite Wrestling over the last few years.
Now it seems that Buddy Matthews, formerly known as Buddy Murphy in WWE, could be part of AEW soon. Fightful Select reports that in recent weeks AEW sources have indicated that there’s growing interest in Buddy Matthews joining the company.
Some have also said that creative pitched have been made, and another source claimed that creative plans have been finalized, but that wasn’t confirmed. Several talents have also reportedly been told that the working plan is to bring Buddy Matthews into the company.
Dave Meltzer also noted on Wrestling Observer Radio that Malakai Black and Brody King teased the idea of a third guy joining their stable on Dynamite. According to Meltzer the idea of Buddy Matthews joining the group has been talked about.
