During the June 6 episode of Monday Night Raw, The Judgement Day welcomed Finn Balor into their group, but then something unexpected happened. Balor, Rhea Ripley and Damian Priest turned on Edge then they beat him down to write him off TV, and he’s been off TV ever since. However, in recent weeks WWE has been airing cryptic vignettes that are seemingly teasing his return.
Bryan Alvarez said on Wrestling Observer Live that he’s pretty sure Edge will be returning to WWE programming as the Rated R Superstar, and that new Rated R Superstar merchandise may have already been made. Alvarez noted that he’s not sure if plans call for Edge to return as a face or heel, but it’s unlikely he’ll be returning to The Judgement Day because he left the group.
It was recently reported that WWE is planning to bring Edge in to New York City next week where Raw will be taking place from Madison Square Garden, so it’s like that we could be seeing his return sooner than later.
