Cody Rhodes won the Undisputed WWE Championship when he defeated Roman Reigns at WrestleMania 40, and since then he’s been trying to prove himself as a fighting champion.
The American Nightmare has taken on several challengers including Solo Sikoa who he beat at SummerSlam, and Kevin Owens who he recently beat at Bash In Berlin. Despite the fact that Cody has already defeated Solo Sikoa the self proclaimed Tribal Chief is still trying to position himself as a challenger for Cody’s championship.
This week on Friday Night SmackDown, Cody Rhodes is set to respond to Solo Sikoa’s challenge, and it sounds like we could be seeing a Solo vs. Cody rematch sooner than later.
The WRKD Wrestling account is reporting that there is talk of Cody defending his Undisputed WWE Championship against Solo Sikoa next week on SmackDown when the blue brand returns to USA Network. However, it was noted that these plans are not set in stone as of right now.
