This week’s episode of Friday Night SmackDown is shaping up to be a big one as it’s set to feature night one of the 2024 WWE Draft. Recently there’s been a lot of speculation regarding NXT stars possibly getting called up, and it looks like at least one familiar face is main roster bound.
Fightful Select is reporting that the current plan is for Baron Corbin to be drafted back to the WWE main roster. Corbin started appearing on NXT
after he became a free agent in the draft last year. In recent months he and Bron Breakker have won the Dusty Rhodes Tag Team Classic and the NXT Tag Team Championship.
During NXT Spring Breakin’ on Tuesday night Ilja Dragunov’s NXT Championship reign came to an end when he dropped the belt to Trick Williams. It’s being reported that Ilja Dragunov received a send off once he got backstage as did Carmelo Hayes and Bron Breakker.
The 2024 WWE Draft will kick off on this week’s episode of Friday Night SmackDown and it will continue next week on Monday Night Raw. Stay tuned for updates.
