The year is quickly coming to a close which means soon all eyes will be looking ahead to the Royal Rumble premium live event which will take place from Tropicana Field on Saturday, January 27, 2024.
Current plans call for Roman Reigns to defend his Undisputed WWE Universal Championship at the Royal Rumble, but the Wrestling Observer Newsletter is reporting that the match is not fully locked in. It appears that Randy Orton is being set up for the match. However, WWE could go in a different direction and book a multi person match for the title.
On the 1/5 episode of Friday Night SmackDown there will reportedly be a Randy Orton vs. AJ Styles vs. LA Knight match that will set up Roman’s opponent for the Royal Rumble.
In recent weeks the United States Title Tournament has been playing out of SmackDown. It’s being reported that the tournament is expected to set up Logan Paul vs. Kevin Owens for the United States Championship.
