Tonight’s episode of WWE Friday Night SmackDown will be the season premiere for the blue brand and the show is set to air live from the Climate Pledge Arena in Seattle, WA.
Last week it was revealed that Cody Rhodes will be defending his Undisputed WWE Championship against Solo Sikoa in a steel cage match on the season premiere, and Triple H recently confirmed that the match will kick off the show.
The Wrestling Observer Newsletter is reporting that the return of Roman Reigns will probably be tied into the title match in some form. Reigns has not appeared on WWE programming since the August 16th episode of SmackDown when he was taken out by The Bloodline.
WWE is currently focusing on the following points for tonight’s show:
– Cody Rhodes to battle Solo Sikoa inside a Steel Cage as SmackDown premieres on USA
– Andrade once again goes to war against Carmelo Hayes
– Kevin Owens and a mystery partner to go head-to-head with A-Town Down Under
