Money in the Bank is the next premium live event on WWE’s schedule, and after the show airs live from London, England all eyes will be looking ahead to SummerSlam in August. SummerSlam is known for being one of WWE’s biggest shows of the year and it sounds like the company has some major plans for the event.
Cody Rhodes and Brock Lesnar have been involved in a heated feud ever Lesnar attacked Cody during the Raw after WrestleMania 39, and Dave Meltzer recently noted on Wrestling Observer Radio that a third match is being planned for SummerSlam.
“Brock Lesnar, Cody Rhodes 3 is SummerSlam. SummerSlam, Ford Field, match number 3.”
The American Nightmare managed to pick up a win over Brock Lesnar when he pinned his shoulders to the mat during the main event of Backlash in May. Lesnar then evened the score a few weeks later when he defeated Cody Rhodes at Night of Champions when Rhodes passed out while he was locked in the Kimura.
One way or another it will be interesting to see who wins the third match between the two stars when SummerSlam comes around in August. Stay tuned for updates.
