It’s been an eventful year for AEW, but unfortunately one of the company’s biggest stars has been sidelined for months now. Adam Copeland broke his leg during a match at the Double or Nothing pay-per-view back in May, but Copeland has been cleared to return.
Fightful Select is reporting that most people in AEW expect him to return to the company on January 1 during the Dynamite episode in Asheville as he lives in the area.
The January 1 episode will be AEW’s first simulcast on TBS and MAX, so the company will be looking to make the show as big as possible. It’s no big secret that FTR and Adam Copeland are friends, and FTR recently stated that they wouldn’t be coming to the January 1 episode alone.
