It’s been a week of big returns for WWE and it’s not over yet. Tonight SmackDown New Year’s Revolution is set to air live and it will feature the return of Roman Reigns as well as a triple threat match to determine who will challenge The Tribal Chief for his championship at the Royal Rumble.
It looks like Roman Reigns may not be the only WWE star returning tonight as PWInsider is reporting that WWE Hall of Famer Paul Ellering was spotted in Vancouver this morning. The expectation is that Paul Ellering and the Authors of Pain will be returning to TV this week on SmackDown New Year’s Revolution to form an alliance with Karrion Kross and Scarlett.
During the December 22 episode of Friday Night SmackDown a Karrion Kross vignette aired where the return of AOP & Paul Ellering was teased when their silhouettes were shown. Now it sounds like we could be seeing the return of AOP tonight.
