When AEW Dynamite first launched in 2019 the show went head to head with NXT on Wednesday nights, but eventually NXT moved to Tuesday. Next week AEW Dynamite will be moving to Tuesday for one night only which means the show will go head to head with NXT for the first time in a while.
WWE is loading up next week’s episode of NXT as the show will feature appearances from John Cena, Paul Heyman, Asuka and Cody Rhodes who is set to make a special announcement.
So far WWE hasn’t dropped any hints regarding what Cody’s announcement could be but it was noted on Wrestling Observer Radio that Cody is likely going to announce the 2023 Dusty Rhodes Tag Team Classic Tournament.
AEW has also loaded up their show next week as Adam Copeland will be making his in-ring debut for the company when he faces Luchasaurus. Jon Moxley will be challenging Rey Fenix for the AEW International Championship and Saraya will be defending her AEW Women’s Championship against Hikaru Shida. Other matches booked for the show include Adam Page vs. Jay White, Powerhouse Hobbs vs. Chris Jericho and Bryan Danielson vs. Swerve Strickland.
