royal rumble

January is an exciting month for wrestling fans at the Royal Rumble airs live and it kicks off the road to WrestleMania. The Royal Rumble is known for featuring big returns and it seems that a few legends will be in attendance for the big event.

PWInsider is reporting that The Undertaker, Michelle McCool and Rey Mysterio are all expected to be in Tampa for the Royal Rumble premium live event later this month. There’s currently no word on whether or not any of the aforementioned names will be appearing on TV at the big event.

It’s worth noting that The Undertaker is scheduled for his UNDERTAKER 1 deadMAN SHOW the day after the Royal Rumble on January 28 at the Bilheimer Capitol Theatre in Clearwater, Florida. Michelle McCool has previously competed in the women’s Royal Rumble, but she recently claimed on social media that she has not been asked about entering the match this year.

Rey Mysterio has been out of action since November of 2023 due to a knee injury. The former WWE Champion underwent surgery months ago and earlier this month during an appearance on Baker Banter he indicated that he’s hoping to return to the ring for the Royal Rumble.

“I’m really working hard on my physical therapy. I just had knee surgery, thanks to Santos Escobar, and his time will come eventually. I do hope that I can return for the Rumble, if not shortly after that. I am working very hard to make my return as soon as possible.”

Stay tuned for updates.
