The Lone Wolf Baron Corbin jumped from NXT to the WWE’s main roster and immediately won the Andre The Giant Memorial Battle Royal at WrestleMania 32. Since then he’s been trying his hardest to gain a foothold and carve out a niche for himself on the SmackDown roster. Baron Corbin has finally been able to secure a WrestleMania match against Dean Ambrose for the Intercontinental Title.
But, there are many fans who don’t want it to be the End Of Days for Dean Ambrose’s IC Title reign. However, new reports from CageSideSeats say the current word going around is The Lunatic Fringe will most likely be dropping the title to The Lone Wolf in Orlando.
The current word making the rounds is WWE officials are still very high on Baron Corbin and they want to push him to the top by the end of the year. Therefore, it will only be a matter of time before fans see Corbin fighting for a belt with even more prestige than the Intercontinental Title.
Love him or hate him, Baron Corbin has all the tools it takes to succeed in professional wrestling. He has a menacing demeanor and a rocking move-set. He’s only gotten better as he goes along too. He is also one of the most fun characters to play with on the WWE 2K games, which is always a huge bonus. Factor in the fact he has an incredible entrance and it certainly appears that The Lone Wolf Baron Corbin is being prepared for WWE greatness.
Baron Corbin might have never gotten to the point where he was carrying the top belt during his tenure in NXT. But, if these new reports are accurate (and we’ve been hearing similar ones for a while) it will only be a matter of time before the former NFL player will be in the main event on a regular basis.
