The first ever Women’s Royal Rumble match seemingly managed to live up to the hype and the expectation that WWE had put into it in the weeks before, mainly because of the women that the company were able to convince to return to be apart of it.
According to Dave Meltzer of the Wrestling Observer, it seems that there is a reason why there is a reason why so many legends were able to return to the company this past weekend. It is reported that WWE is filming a documentary that centers around the Women’s Evolution.
The company did present a WWE 24 that led up to the change of the Divas Championship into the Women’s Championship back at WrestleMania 32, but it seems that so much has changed and so much history has been made in the Women’s Division over the past two years, that it makes sense that WWE want to document this.
Even though the first ever Women’s Elimination Chamber match is coming up in a few weeks time, it seems that the Royal Rumble was the best part of history for the women both past and present to share, which is why it was the perfect place for all these women to be able to lace up their boots one more time.
