WrestleMania 39 has come and gone and now it seems that WWE is looking to shake things up once again as it was recently announced that the next WWE Draft will kick off on the April 28 episode of Friday Night SmackDown then continue on the May 1 episode of Monday Night Raw.
The upcoming NFL Draft is set to kick off on April 27 and conclude on April 29, and Fightful Select is reporting that it’s not a coincidence that the WWE Draft was scheduled around the NFL Draft.
Triple H officially announced the WWE Draft a few weeks ago and he said that every single Superstar will be eligible to be drafted this time around. The Hall of Famer also stated that the 2023 draft will change the game.
There’s currently no word on which wrestlers will be switching brands, but there’s been a lot of speculation regarding NXT stars getting called up such as Bron Breakker who recently dropped the NXT Championship to Carmelo Hayes at Stand & Deliver. One way or another it will be interesting to see how things play out when the WWE Draft kicks off next week. Stay tuned for updates.
